Inpatient Pharmacist Job CA

Soliant Health has gained the reputation of partnering with the nation’s most respected hospital systems to staffing interim pharmacy personnel. This Los Angeles Hospital has an immediate opening for a pharmacist to fill a contract-to-hire opportunity. Eligible candidates must have prior inpatient pharmacy experience or PGY-1 residency.  
Location: Torrance, CA

Schedule: 8 hr. shifts. Must be flexible to all work all shifts

Compensation: $65.00 - $95/hr + medical, dental, vision, 401(k)

Job Responsibilities:

• Participates in the development and continual monitoring of patient drug therapy treatment plans and patient outcomes in clinical specialty programs
• Performs patient assessments and monitors the effects of drug therapy using clinical symptoms, evaluating laboratory data, and other relevant clinical diagnostic techniques
• Interview patients to obtain information regarding drug use, drug allergies and sensitivities, and medication histories
• Conducts evaluations to determine compliance to the established medication use evaluation criteria
• Participates in the establishment of critical pathways to ensure optimal medication usage
• Critically analyzes, evaluates, and prepares recommendations of medical literature in relation to medication therapy
• Advises and assists in implementing cost containment strategies for the usage of pharmaceutical products
• Participates in performance improvement activities to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care

Qualifications:

• Registered Pharmacist by the California Board of Pharmacy, active and in good standing
• Must have full time availability
• Must have a minimum of two years recent inpatient pharmacy experience or PGY1 residency
• COVID Vaccine, required
