Job Description:
As the Interim Pharmacist in Charge, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our hospital pharmacy department. You will be responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations, managing a team of dedicated pharmacists and technicians, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. This position is temporary and is expected to last for a specified duration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, order verification, and compounding.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, providing guidance and support.
- Implement and manage pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Develop and manage pharmacy budgets and resources effectively.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
- Active pharmacist license in KY.
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
- Strong leadership and hospital management experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
