Duration: Approximately 2-months, starting mid-September

To support our mission, we seek an experienced and dedicated Interim Pharmacist in Charge to join our team temporarily.

Position Overview: As the Interim Pharmacist in Charge, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services to our patients. You will oversee the pharmacy operations, manage a team of pharmacy professionals, and collaborate with other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, including dispensing, compounding, and drug utilization reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.
  • Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare teams.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, ensuring a high level of performance.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs.
  • Maintain accurate and complete pharmacy records.

Qualifications:

  • Active Kentucky Pharmacist License.
  • Inpatient pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.
  • Some management or supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
