Are you a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) looking for a rewarding opportunity in education? Join our school district in Galt, CA, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students. This position offers a dynamic and diverse environment, overseeing the health department and providing essential support to our school community.

Start/End Date: ASAP - June 26, 2024

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week


  • 7 school sites
  • Approximately 3,500 students, ranging from Pre-K to 8th grade
  • Oversight of the health department
  • Training on medication administration
  • Support for health assistants and LVNs
  • Health plan development


  • Provide direct nursing care and support to students with a wide range of medical needs.
  • Administer medication and oversee medication administration training.
  • Develop and implement health plans for students with specific medical needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to create a safe and inclusive environment for students.
  • Oversee the health department, including health assistants and LVNs.
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Provide health education and support to students, parents, and staff.
  • Support the development of health-related policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with best practices in school nursing.

Required Credentials:

  • Active California RN License
