A skilled Histology Technician is needed for a 13-week contract opportunity in Sterling Heights, MI, specializing in laboratory histology tasks. The role involves preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, performing staining and embedding procedures, and maintaining lab equipment to ensure high-quality diagnostic results.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing and preparing tissue specimens according to protocols
  • Conducting staining, embedding, and sectioning of samples
  • Monitoring lab inventory and equipment maintenance
  • Collaborating with pathologists and lab staff to support accurate diagnoses
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in the laboratory

Desired qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Histology Technician or Histologist
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Certification as HT (Histotechnician) or HTL (Histotechnologist) required
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory safety and histology techniques
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Schedule:

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday

The position requires a 30-minute interview via MS Teams to facilitate the hiring process. Candidates must be able to start promptly and commit to the full contract duration.
