Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) 2023-2024 SY

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Contracted School Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team for the 2023/2024 school year in Illinois. This position will commence in August 2023 and extend until June 2024. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing quality healthcare services to students and assisting in maintaining a safe and healthy environment within the school.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, wound care, and first aid as necessary.
• Monitor students' health conditions, including chronic illnesses and allergies, and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement appropriate healthcare plans.
• Conduct health screenings, such as vision and hearing tests, and maintain accurate records of students' health information.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide immediate care until additional medical personnel arrive.
• Educate students, families, and staff on health-related topics, such as hygiene, nutrition, and illness prevention.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are properly stored and readily available when needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to coordinate students' healthcare needs.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois.
• Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to provide compassionate care to students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in emergency situations.
• Proficient in maintaining accurate and organized medical records.
• Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and protocols.

Contract Details:

• Contract period: August 2023 to June 2024.
• This position is for a contracted LPN.
• Work hours: Full-time
• Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
