Position: Travel Med Surg Nurse Location: Cooperstown, New York Shift: 7:00am - 7:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in the Med Surg unit
• Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and assist with treatments and procedures
• Monitor vital signs, document patient progress, and collaborate with the healthcare team
• Ensure patient safety and comfort by maintaining a clean and organized environment
• Educate patients and their families on self-care and post-operative instructions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Handle emergencies and critical situations with efficiency and professionalism
• Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and standards of nursing practice

Requirements:

• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active RN license in the state of New York
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg nursing experience
• Strong knowledge and experience in surgical, orthopedic, general, and bariatric surgery cases
• Proficiency in administering medications and performing treatments as required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Flexibility to adapt to different patient populations and care settings
