Middle School Science Teacher Opening Near Aston, PA

Soliant is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Middle School Science Teacher to join a well-regarded school district near Aston, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time position with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. The position is available for an immediate start and will continue through June 14, 2024. Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates mastery of related subject matter, instructional skills, and resource materials for the science course(s) taught.
• Develops and implements engaging lesson plans aligned with current state and district standards. These lessons should drive instruction through formative assessment and differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Creates a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement, curiosity, and scientific inquiry.
• Utilizes strong classroom and behavioral management skills to maintain an effective and respectful learning atmosphere.
• Actively participates in the educational team, collaborating with colleagues and other professionals to enhance the learning experience.
• Monitors and assesses student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Incorporates technology and innovative teaching techniques to enhance science instruction.
• Ensures compliance with all required Pennsylvania clearances and certifications.
• Teaching certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Promotes a safe and supportive learning environment, particularly in an urban setting.

Qualifications:

• Pennsylvania teaching certification is a plus but not mandatory. Eligibility for an emergency teaching permit with a bachelor's degree is required.
• Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably in middle school.
• Strong classroom and behavioral management skills.
• Dedication to creating an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective lesson plans and align instruction with standards.
• Availability to start immediately and commit to the position through June 14, 2024.
