Middle School Social Studies Teacher

Position Overview:

Soliant Education is looking for a passionate and motivated Middle School Social Studies Teacher to join a dedicated team in St. George, SC. This is an hourly contract position for the full school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to engage with history, geography, and social sciences while creating an enriching and dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging social studies lessons to middle school students
• Prepare and implement a curriculum aligned with state standards
• Create a positive and interactive classroom that encourages critical thinking and discussion
• Assess student progress and provide individualized support as needed
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages respect, responsibility, and a love for learning
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success
• Participate in school meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field
• Active teaching certification in South Carolina (or ability to obtain)
• Experience teaching middle school social studies is preferred but not required
• Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
• Ability to engage students and make social studies topics interesting and accessible
