Multiple Openings for Special Education Teachers for the '23-24 School Year -Bessemer, AL

We are actively seeking three qualified Special Education Teachers (SPED) for this upcoming school year. Please see details below:

Location: Bessemer, AL

Details:

• Contract Position
• Start/ End Date: Summer Opportunities and 8/7/2023-5/24/2024
• Hours: 7:45am-3:15pm |37.5 hours a week
• Caseload Details:
  • 6^th-12^th Grade
  • Inclusion but subject to change depending on the need  
• Zoom Interview
• Pay Range: $30-42/hr (negotiable)

Duties:

• Assess students’ skills and determine their educational needs.
• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student.
• Teach and mentor students as a class, in small groups and one-on-one.
• Discuss students’ progress with parents, other teachers, counselors, and administrators.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Master’s/Doctoral Degree in Special Education
• Active Alabama Special Education Teaching license
