Are you an experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) seeking a rewarding opportunity in a school setting? We are currently hiring for the upcoming school year for a district in Kent, WA. This is a full-time position, offering 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language assessments to identify and diagnose communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment results
- Conduct therapy sessions, both individual and group, to address speech, language, and communication challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective support and integration of therapy goals into the educational program
- Monitor and document students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing valuable input and recommendations
- Stay current with research, best practices, and trends in speech-language pathology to enhance service delivery
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Valid state licensure in the state of Washington
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of a variety of speech and language disorders and their treatment methods
- Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans based on individual student needs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with students, parents, and staff
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
