Are you a passionate and dedicated School Psychologist looking for an exciting opportunity in the field of education? We are currently seeking a qualified School Psychologist to join our team for the upcoming school year in Kent, WA. This is a full-time position, offering 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide counseling and intervention services to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective strategies to support students' academic success
  • Attend and actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and eligibility conferences
  • Write thorough and accurate assessment reports, progress notes, and other required documentation within specified timelines
  • Stay up-to-date with current research, best practices, and relevant laws and regulations in the field of school psychology
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff members regarding student behavior management and positive intervention strategies

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in School Psychology or a related field
  • Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Washington
  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of assessment techniques, intervention strategies, and special education laws
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with students and families
