Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) - K-12 - 23/24
Position: We are searching for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2021-2022 school year. The SLP will provide quality speech and language services to children and adolescents in K-12 educational settings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in children and adolescents
• Ensure IEPs and treatment plans are implemented and modified as needed
• Work to identify concerns, develop goals and objectives, create treatment plans, monitor progress and adjust plans accordingly
• Develop and implement interventions to improve skills of the students
• Supervise clinical staff and provide professional development
• Provide training and assist in the education of district personnel, parents and other relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate with district personnel, including teachers, counselors, social workers, and administrators to create an inclusive educational environment
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) in state of practice
• Previous experience as an SLP in the K-12 school setting
• Knowledge of service delivery in school settings and experience with IDEA and IEPs
• Applied knowledge and skill in management and assessment of swallowing disorders
• Willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Bilingual applicants who are experienced in providing speech language services in Toishanese, Cape Verdean Creole, Vietnamese, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, and Spanish are highly desirable
