Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state curriculum standards
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to promote student success
• Engage in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
• Valid Maine teaching certification (General Education)
• Strong understanding of curriculum and instructional strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create an inclusive and diverse classroom environment
• Experience with classroom management and student engagement techniques
• Familiarity with technology and digital learning tools is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Education or related field
• Experience in differentiated instruction and working with diverse learners
• Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
