POSITION DESCRIPTION: To provide direct patient care and support activities which build and maintain the outstanding outcomes of the therapy department. You will be servicing school aged children for an assignment. Support will be provided to help you adjust to working in the field.
School rotation experience preferred
No IEPs will need to be written
Data collection is required
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 semester general patient care experience (including orthopedics, general medicine and neuro across the continuum). Minimum of 75 hours of related clinical and/or professional course work including demonstrated commitment to professional development.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
Ability to recognize signs of distress.
Basic computer skills in word processing and on line communication.
Writes accurate, complete, and clear documentation in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
License/Certification
Possession of licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board.
CPR certification from the AHA.
