Job Title: School Physical Therapists
Location: Murphy Village SC
Job Type: Full-time; Hours - Monday-Friday @ 37.5 a week; Start/End Date: ASAP-5/22/2024 NSY
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Physical Therapist to join our educational team. As a School PT, you will provide specialized therapy services to students with physical disabilities or impairments, helping them achieve their maximum potential in an educational setting. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' physical abilities and needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students, including therapeutic exercises, stretches, and manual techniques
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to create an integrated approach to student care
- Monitor students' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Assist in the selection and fitting of appropriate assistive devices and equipment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Attend and participate in team meetings, workshops, and professional development activities as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred
- Knowledge of special education practices and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Passion for working with children and making a positive difference in their lives
