We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) to join our team in supporting students across various schools within our district. This is a full-time, supervised position that provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience while working with a dynamic group of professionals. The SLP-CF will work under the mentorship of a licensed, experienced speech-language pathologist to develop their clinical skills and gain the required clinical fellowship hours to obtain full licensure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students with communication disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Conduct screenings and assessments to determine the needs of students.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and collaborate with educators and parents to set goals.
- Document and track student progress in accordance with state and district regulations.
- Collaborate with school staff, including teachers, special education teams, and administrators, to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students.
- Participate in IEP meetings and help develop goals and objectives for students.
- Maintain a caseload of students, ensuring timely and effective delivery of therapy services.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision as required for the CF process.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Completion of all coursework and clinical hours required for licensure.
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to obtain.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in [State].
- Must have completed the required Clinical Fellowship hours as part of the CF program.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with students, parents, and school staff.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based speech therapy services (preferred).
- Strong passion for working with children and a commitment to improving student outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in school-based settings (internships or practicum).
- Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
- Experience with a diverse student population is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $45-$55 per hour depending on experience.
