Position: Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite Only)
Start Date: August 12, 2024
End Date: May 26, 2025

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time, onsite position serving a diverse student population across multiple elementary campuses and one high school. You will work alongside a collaborative team including bilingual SLPs, SLP Assistants (SLPAs), and other support staff to provide comprehensive speech and language services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Supervise and mentor Clinical Fellows (CFs) and SLPAs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.

Caseload:

  • Serve a caseload of 40-50 students.
  • Work across multiple elementary campuses and a high school.
  • Collaborate with bilingual SLPs and SLPAs to support students in bilingual settings.
  • Address the needs of students in a 3-year-old PACS program, with support from other SLPs.
  • Primarily work with English-speaking students at certain campuses.
  • Share responsibilities with other SLPs and SLPAs to manage large campus needs effectively.

Requirements:

  • Active Speech Language Pathologist License/Certification in the state of Texas.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required.
