Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Southgate, MI. As an SLP, you will play a key role in helping high school students with speech, language, and communication disorders succeed academically and socially. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working in a collaborative educational setting, providing individualized therapy, and making a lasting impact on students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in high school students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions as needed.
- Document and monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in team meetings, evaluations, and case reviews.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Michigan State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. CFY candidates are welcome to apply.
- Experience working with adolescent populations is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
