Tumwater, WA

Located in Tumwater, WA our client is a full service, 107 bed community hospital that is seeking a 3^rd shift pharmacist to cover a 7 on 7 off schedule. Our client’s reputation is based on providing a comprehensive range of medical services and delivering evidence-based care to patients throughout the south sound and surrounding counties.

Qualifications:

• WA licensed
• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy with 2 years of recent inpatient experience or Pharm D.
• Open availability to work overnight 7 on 7 off
• Experience in I.V. admixture and unit dose drug distribution system required

Job Duties:

• Supervise pharmacy technicians in the performance of their duties
• Attend Code Blues
• Check medication trays/boxes (i.e. anesthesia trays, L&D boxes
• Dispense controlled substance in the absence of the narcotic technician & pharmacy supervisor
• Assures appropriateness of ordered medications by considering pertinent factors such as disease state, body surface area (BSA), age, height, weight, labs, and renal function
• Completes all assigned Quality Assurance and productivity reports including record keeping and appropriate follow up

Contract Info:

• Shift: 7 on 7 off night shift
• Hours: 9pm- 7:30am
• IT: EPIC/ PYXIS
• 13 week interim contract
