Soliant and its affiliates are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School-Based Social Worker for a contract position in Thornton, CO. This role offers the opportunity to work within school settings, providing essential support to students and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students.


  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with school staff, including teachers, administrators, and support personnel, to develop and implement interventions to address students' social and emotional needs.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need, and develop individualized intervention plans in collaboration with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Advocate for students' needs and rights within the school system and the community, ensuring access to appropriate services and resources.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to students and families in times of crisis or emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and service providers to coordinate support services for students and families, including mental health services, housing assistance, and other resources.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to contribute to the development of comprehensive educational plans for students with special needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes, case records, and other required paperwork, in compliance with local and state regulations.


  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Colorado.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience working as a social worker in a school-based setting.
  • Strong understanding of local and state regulations governing special education services and social work practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting social justice principles in practice.
