Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team for the upcoming 2023/2024 school year. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in promoting the academic success, social-emotional well-being, and overall development of students in our educational institution. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and adolescents while collaborating with a dynamic team of educators.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Support the implementation of positive behavior support plans and programs.
  • Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and plan appropriate interventions.
  • Provide consultation to teachers and staff regarding students' academic and behavioral needs.
  • Monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and consultations.
  • Stay updated with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in school psychology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Valid Utah state certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
  • Demonstrated understanding of special education laws and regulations.
  • Commitment to providing inclusive and equitable services to all students.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
