A specialized role is available for a skilled Certified Operating Room Technician with Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience to support complex surgical procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment that serves a broad range of patient types and surgical specialties, including cardiovascular, neurosurgery, orthopedic, and general surgery cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation and operation of surgical procedures in the CVOR suite, including open heart and valve replacement surgeries
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure surgical instruments and equipment are properly prepared and handled
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR team members to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols
- Utilize hospital technology including EPIC Optime for EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Philips monitors
- Participate in on-call rotations and holiday call duties as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years CVOR experience; 2 years General OR experience required
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred with graduation from an accredited program
- BLS certification required; ACLS is a plus
- Ability to work well within a team-focused, safety-conscious environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
Schedule & Location:
- 10-hour day shifts, typically 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on a 6-week rotating schedule
- On-call approximately 6-9 shifts per month; holiday call required
- Located in Bonaire, GA, a welcoming community nestled in central Georgia known for its friendly neighborhoods, local parks, and convenient access to nearby metropolitan areas
