COVR CVOR Surgical Tech | Detroit, Michigan

A position is available for a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician to support the surgical team in Detroit, MI. This contract role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of cardiovascular operating rooms and necessary equipment
• Monitor patients’ status and vital signs before and during procedures
• Ensure all instruments and technology are sterile and functioning properly
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff for efficient surgical support
• Support post-operative care protocols as directed by the surgical team
• Participate in on-call rotation covering evenings, overnight, and weekend shifts

Schedule/Hours:

• 8-hour shifts from 6:50 am to 3:20 pm
• 12-hour shifts from 6:50 am to 7:20 pm
• On-call shifts weekday evenings from 7:00 pm to 5:50 am and 24-hour weekend calls (rotating schedule)

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CVOR Technician or related clinical background
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile techniques
• Ability to perform technical tasks efficiently under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
