Seeking experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technicians and Registered Nurses for a specialized surgical environment focused on adult cardiovascular cases. This contract role, located in Mount Washington, KY, requires dedicated professionals with a minimum of two years’ experience inside a hospital cardiovascular OR. Candidates must be comfortable working complex cases such as CABG, AAA repairs, valve replacements, TAVRs, and heart/lung transplants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support surgical teams during adult cardiovascular procedures by circulating or scrubbing, depending on role
  • Manage patient care elements including Foley catheters, chest tubes, and AED as appropriate
  • Operate relevant surgical and monitoring equipment, including Bovie, tourniquets, harmonic scalpels, and OR beds
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, including 1 RN and 1 Tech per case
  • Utilize EMR systems (Cerner) and medical dispensing technology (Omnicell)
  • Participate in weekend rotations, on-call duties with a 40-minute response time, and holiday schedules per unit needs
  • Adhere to orientation and schedule cycles with flexibility for vascular OR float coverage if comfortable

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience (RN or Tech)
  • Relevant certifications: BLS and ACLS for RNs; BLS and CST for Scrub Techs
  • Proficient in cardiovascular surgical procedures and equipment manipulation
  • Experience or familiarity with robotic surgery (Da Vinci D5) preferred but not required
