An opportunity is available for an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) professional to support surgical volumes in a hospital setting. This contract position requires hands-on expertise within the cardiovascular OR environment for adult patients undergoing complex procedures such as CABG, AAA repair, valve replacements, TAVRs, and heart and lung transplants.

Responsibilities:
- Participate as a circulating RN or scrub tech in CVOR cases, providing high-level support throughout surgeries
- Manage Foley catheters, chest tubes, and AED devices if serving as an RN
- Operate and assist with unit-specific technology including EMR (Cerner), IV pumps (Plum ICU Medical), Med dispensing (Omnicell), Bovie electrocautery, and robotic systems (Davinci D5 experience preferred)
- Collaborate closely with management and assigned teams (1 RN and 1 tech per case)
- Float to Vascular OR as needed for lunch coverage, if comfortable
- Adhere to on-call responsibilities with a 40-minute response time
- Complete orientation and training including a week of NEO sessions and variable shifts
- Engage in weekend rotations and holiday coverage per unit scheduling
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years dedicated CVOR experience (RN or tech) required; no first-time travelers accepted
- Licensure/Certifications:
- RN: BLS, ACLS
- Scrub Tech: BLS, CST
- Proven proficiency in managing adult vascular and cardiac surgical cases
- Comfortable with advanced surgical technologies and EMR systems
- Ability to respond quickly on call and adapt to rotating schedules
Shift:
- 12-hour day shifts, total 36 hours per week, with some evening shifts during orientation
