A healthcare facility in Warner Robins, GA is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technician for a contract position. This role is integral to supporting a high-acuity surgical team within a setting that includes 20 OR rooms and specialized units such as cystoscopy. The facility is a teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma designation and centers of excellence including Chest Pain and Stroke Centers.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) experience; 2 years in General OR preferred
  • Certification & Licensure: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) beneficial
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program is essential
  • Proficiency using EPIC Optime EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensers, and Phillips monitors is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assist in cardiovascular, general, orthopedic, neurosurgical, and robotic surgeries
  • Demonstrate teamwork and inclusive communication ensuring patient safety and efficiency in the OR
  • Participate in a call rotation averaging 6-8 calls per month, including holiday coverage
  • Adhere to hospital policy for infection control and surgical procedures
  • Complete a one-week hospital orientation emphasizing culture and protocols

Shift & Scheduling:

  • 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Call schedule and weekend coverage as outlined with management
  • Six-week rotating schedule
