A skilled Operating Room Technician with a focus on orthopedic cases is needed for a night shift contract position in Brooklyn, NY. This role demands hands-on experience in orthopedic surgery and excellence in supporting surgical teams within a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience, certification, and familiarity with surgical technology protocols.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an OR Tech with specialization in orthopedic cases
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- BLS certification mandatory
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Responsibilities:
- Assist surgical teams during orthopedic and other procedures, ensuring sterile field maintenance
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment ahead of scheduled surgeries
- Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other OR staff to facilitate smooth surgical workflows
- Document and update patient records using the Epic EMR system in compliance with healthcare standards
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
- Provide reliable coverage during night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Schedule & Hours:
- Night Shift: 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week (excluding a 1-hour break)
