Responsibilities:
- Perform scrub person duties during surgical procedures, focused on orthopedic and spine surgeries.
- Prepare and dispense instruments, equipment, and supplies required for each operation.
- Conduct thorough counts of instruments, needles, sharps, and sponges, ensuring safety and accountability.
- Handle specimens with care.
- Assist with dressing or casting patients and facilitate safe patient transfers.
- Support decontamination and reprocessing efforts as assigned.
- Maintain operating room inventory and surgical carts.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program or equivalent; new graduates are welcome.
- Current American Heart Association CPR certification.
- National certification from the Association of Surgical Technologists is preferred but not required.
- Previous orthopedic/spine operating room experience is a plus; training will be provided.
Schedule:
- Full-time, primarily day shifts (7am-3:30pm) with flexibility for 10 or 12-hour shifts.
- On-call weekend and holiday rotation.
