Responsibilities:

  • Perform scrub person duties during surgical procedures, focused on orthopedic and spine surgeries.
  • Prepare and dispense instruments, equipment, and supplies required for each operation.
  • Conduct thorough counts of instruments, needles, sharps, and sponges, ensuring safety and accountability.
  • Handle specimens with care.
  • Assist with dressing or casting patients and facilitate safe patient transfers.
  • Support decontamination and reprocessing efforts as assigned.
  • Maintain operating room inventory and surgical carts.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program or equivalent; new graduates are welcome.
  • Current American Heart Association CPR certification.
  • National certification from the Association of Surgical Technologists is preferred but not required.
  • Previous orthopedic/spine operating room experience is a plus; training will be provided.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, primarily day shifts (7am-3:30pm) with flexibility for 10 or 12-hour shifts.
  • On-call weekend and holiday rotation.
