An opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room Technician specializing in orthopedic cases. This contract position is ideal for professionals ready to contribute their skills in a dynamic surgical environment, focusing on orthopedic procedures.

Location: This role is based in Jamaica, NY, a vibrant and diverse community with convenient access to public transportation, local dining, and cultural attractions, offering a balanced urban living experience.

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts from 9 PM to 7 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (excluding 1-hour breaks)
• Weekend and holiday availability required

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with orthopedic cases in an OR setting
• Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Proficient with Epic electronic medical records system
• Strong knowledge of orthopedic surgery protocols and OR procedures

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for orthopedic surgeries, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready
• Assist surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment
• Monitor and restock surgical supplies as needed
• Adhere to all safety and infection control standards
• Support team during high-pressure scenarios with efficiency and professionalism
