A rewarding opportunity is available for a Certified Orthopedic Technician with a strong background in outpatient care. This role requires NBCOT certification and a minimum of two years of experience, though first-time certified professionals seeking valuable experience are encouraged to apply. The position is primarily based in Tarzana, CA, with occasional coverage required at a nearby location in Mission Hills. This 13-week contract offers stability with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, without weekend or on-call requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • NBCOT certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years outpatient orthopedic technician experience preferred.
  • First-time certified technicians are welcome.
  • Ability to float between Tarzana and Mission Hills clinic locations.
  • Strong familiarity with EPIC charting system is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.

Location: This role is centered in Tarzana, a family-friendly community known for its tree-lined streets and vibrant local amenities within the San Fernando Valley. The technician will also support the Mission Hills location, a diverse neighborhood offering easy access to cultural and recreational activities. Both locations provide a welcoming environment for healthcare professionals committed to orthopedic outpatient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist orthopedic specialists with patient assessments and treatments.
  • Perform cast application and removal, splinting, and assist with bracing.
  • Document patient care accurately using EPIC system.
  • Coordinate smoothly with clinical teams to ensure patient flow.
  • Float between two outpatient clinics as required.
