An opportunity is available for experienced surgical technologists, both certified and non-certified, with skills in nursing, operating room techniques (ORT), and general surgery, including specialty areas. This contract position is based in Raleigh, NC, at a busy surgical campus, offering a dynamic environment where resilience and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 1+ year surgical technologist experience
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST NBSTSA) preferred
  • Proficient with Epic charting system
  • Strong work ethic, resilience, and ability to manage change effectively
  • Excellent communication skills; social and team-oriented
  • Previous travel experience highly advantageous

Location: Positioned in the vibrant city of Raleigh, NC, the worksite offers access to numerous cultural, recreational, and dining options. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and instruments
  • Support surgeons and nursing staff during operations
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards and safety protocols
  • Utilize the Epic system for accurate and timely documentation
  • Collaborate well with multidisciplinary teams across various surgical specialties
  • Adapt to fluctuating schedules, including call, weekends, holidays, and float to like units

Schedule/Hours:

  • 10-hour daytime shifts, typically 7 AM to 5 PM
  • Weekend and holiday coverage as needed
  • On-call and call-back duties with variable days off
  • Please note hours during orientation or unit closure may vary and are not guaranteed

  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster required, with exemptions considered for medical or religious reasons
  • Equal pay for travel or local contracts, no radius restrictions
