Cardiac Cath Lab RN - Mentor, OH

Care for critically ill patients undergoing Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular procedures in a fast-paced Cardiac Cath Lab setting located in Mentor, OH. This contract role offers the opportunity to utilize specialized skills in cardiac care while responding to STEMI calls with a 30-minute response time. The position requires expertise in advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Monitor and manage advanced hemodynamic devices such as IABP and IMPELLA.
• Administer sedation and closely observe patient status throughout procedures.
• Respond swiftly to STEMI calls with a 4-hour minimum callback and a 30-minute response time.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize electronic medical record systems including EPIC, XPER, and Change Health Care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN licensure in the state of Ohio.
• Prior experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting with strong preoperative and postoperative skills.
• Proficient in advanced hemodynamic monitoring technologies and ventilator management.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to meet physical demands including prolonged standing, occasional heavy lifting (up to 300 lbs with assistance), and exposure to communicable diseases and cleaning products.

Schedule:

• Shift options include early mornings (0630-1700), day shifts (0700-1700), or extended day shifts (0800-1800).
• Holiday and on-call shifts assigned on a rotational basis.
