Corrections Facility Registered Nurse | Cicero, Illinois

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in medical-surgical nursing
• Correctional nursing experience strongly preferred

• Ability to float within scope as needed in this mandatory float facility
• Local candidates preferred; must reside within 75 miles of the location

Location: Situated in Cicero, Illinois, this correctional facility provides healthcare services to inmates within the county system. Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care in a correctional environment
• Work a schedule of three 12-hour day shifts (11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.)
• Float between units as required to meet facility needs
• Adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards within the correctional setting
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical records for accurate documentation
• Comply with facility policies including mandatory workdays and no block scheduling accommodations

Schedule/Hours:

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (11:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.)
• Every other weekend work required (2 weekends per month)
• Up to 5 days off allowed, with restrictions around holidays and weekends

This contract role offers a guaranteed 36 hours weekly with free parking on a first-come, first-served basis. The nurse will wear navy blue scrubs while working.
