This opportunity is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing seeking a contract position in Perry, GA. The role involves providing expert perioperative care to a diverse surgical patient population, including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and cardiovascular procedures in a high-acuity Level 1 Trauma and Teaching Hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a 20 OR-room unit specializing in cardiovascular and general surgery cases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
- Utilize advanced technology such as EMR (EPIC Optime Intraop), Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and Phillips monitors.
- Participate in call rotations and holiday coverage as part of patient care continuity.
- Adhere to unit protocols, including surgical scrub procedures and safety guidelines.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure with at least 2 years of general OR experience; a minimum of 5 years preferred in CVOR.
- Certification in BLS; CST certification preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Schedule:
- Dayshift: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 10-hour shifts.
