A nursing professional with dialysis experience is needed to provide specialized care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to work across multiple units and campuses, requiring flexibility and strong clinical skills in dialysis treatment.

Location: Tuscaloosa, AL — a vibrant city known for its rich culture, educational institutions, and warm southern hospitality. The role involves working at two distinct campuses within the same healthcare system, both equipped with modern dialysis bays and treatment facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis, including bedside and peritoneal dialysis treatments.
  • Prepare and perform dialysis treatments in collaboration with certified dialysis technicians.
  • Float between the main and regional campuses, adapting to different schedules and patient needs.
  • Take call on assigned days including evenings and weekends according to the schedule.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or compact nursing license (temporary licenses not accepted).
  • AHA BLS or Red Cross CPR certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year specializing in dialysis.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Professional nursing certification in dialysis highly preferred.

Schedule:

  • Flexible work hours available with 36 or 48 hours per week.
  • Work includes every other weekend and holiday shifts as required.
  • Scheduled hours vary by campus, including early mornings, evenings, and weekend call responsibilities.
