Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Black Eagle, MT

Deliver high-quality patient care and support within a dynamic emergency room environment as a Registered Nurse. This contract opportunity focuses on both direct and indirect patient care in an emergency setting, requiring strong initiative, clinical skill, and adaptability under pressure. You will work collaboratively with dedicated healthcare professionals to assess, triage, and treat patients with a range of urgent needs.

Schedule:

• 3x12 hour shifts (11:00 am – 11:00 pm)
• Some weekend shifts required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Completion of an accredited nursing program (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Certified Emergency Nurse (preferred but not mandatory)
• Two or more years of emergency room nursing experience (required)
• Current unencumbered RN license from the State of Montana
• Certifications required (or attainable within 6 months): BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC

• Strong emergency department clinical assessment and critical thinking
• Effective triage and rapid response to changing patient conditions
• Excellent communication with physicians, advanced practice providers, patients, and families
• Ability to supervise and direct ER techs and allied health staff
• Proficiency in using medical and electronic equipment, IV therapy, and documentation systems

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and execute care plans in the ER
• Triage patients using clinical protocols to prioritize care
• Monitor and document changes in status; notify providers promptly
• Administer treatments, IV medication, and monitor patient progress
• Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory policies and procedures
