Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Elmira, New York

A healthcare facility in Elmira, NY is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with Emergency Room (ER) experience for a 13-week contract position. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced, critical care environments and have a minimum of two years of ER nursing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages presenting with a variety of medical conditions.
• Triage and assess patients promptly, prioritizing care based on the severity of condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation.
• Respond skillfully to emergency situations, including trauma and cardiac arrests.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active RN license with certification in Emergency Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain composure during emergencies.
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with emergency medical equipment and protocols.

Schedule and Hours:

• 3x12-hour shifts, primarily night shifts or variable schedule options.
