Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Holt, MI

A registered nurse with emergency room expertise is sought for a contract assignment in Holt, MI, specializing primarily in behavioral health. This role requires a dedicated individual capable of thriving in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment, handling dynamic patient care challenges including trauma, stroke, heart, and pediatric emergencies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care in the Emergency Department, focusing on behavioral health cases.
• Manage patient care in a high-acuity setting with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6, potentially higher during peak times and holidays.
• Utilize EPIC charting system for accurate and timely documentation.
• Administer continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation as needed.
• Participate in triage and dysrhythmia interpretation and management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state nursing license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIH; ENPC preferred.
• Minimum 1.5 years’ experience in Level I trauma; 2 years preferred.
• Experience with Level I trauma patient care.
• Comfort working three 12-hour night shifts per 4-week schedule, including 3 weekends (Friday through Sunday).
• Willingness to work two of the three major holidays with one holiday off permitted.
• Flexibility to float, including pediatric assignments.

Schedule:

• Night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per 4-week cycle.
• Weekend shifts as outlined.
• Contract start ASAP with an earliest end date in early January.

Additional Information: This contract position is open to local candidates at the same compensation level as travelers. RTO submission is mandatory at application with specific dates blocked. Modules are not billable and require accounting for extra hours.
