A critical opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Emergency Department experience to support a very busy Level 1 Trauma Center. This contract position is primarily focused on Emergency Department (ED) care, with occasional float assignments to acute care units as needed. Nurses with a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar high-acuity, fast-paced environment will find this role aligns well with their skill set.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care in a busy Emergency Department setting
  • Monitor and assess patients’ conditions and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with the trauma team and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care
  • Maintain patient safety and adhere to protocols for critical care and trauma situations
  • Assist as needed in acute care units, demonstrating flexibility and wide clinical knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse license with current RN-ER certification preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an ED at a Level 1 Trauma Center or similar high-volume facility
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
  • Ability to deliver compassionate and efficient care in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
