This role requires a highly skilled Registered Nurse with emergency room expertise, prepared to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment. The assignment is based in Quincy, MA and offers a 48-hour night shift schedule, working four 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Flexibility to float to both the Psychiatric ED and the Pediatric ED (caring for patients aged 15 and older, unless you have prior pediatric experience) is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver competent emergency nursing care in a high-volume emergency department handling up to 440 patients daily.
  • Independently monitor and interpret telemetry rhythm strips, accurately identifying heart blocks.
  • Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4-5, adjusting care based on patient acuity.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide timely and quality care.
  • Adapt to floating requirements across adult, psychiatric, and pediatric emergency units.
  • Uphold hospital and nursing standards while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout each shift.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II Emergency Department experience, or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 ED experience.
  • Successful completion of a Telemetry Test with an 85% or higher score on Day 1.
  • Current and unexpired certifications in TNCC, BLS, and ACLS.
  • Preferred: Experience with EPIC electronic medical records, previous travel nursing engagements, and critical care background.
