This opportunity offers experienced RNs a chance to deliver specialized care in a dynamic Surgical/Neuro ICU setting. You will be working nights in a 16-bed unit dedicated to acute stroke, trauma, and surgical patients, ensuring high-level, comprehensive care within a supportive team environment. The contract spans 13 weeks, with flexible guaranteed weekly hours to suit your preferences.

Location:
Situated in Ballwin, MO, this assignment is connected to a hospital renowned for its advanced medical services including a Level 2 Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The region offers a blend of vibrant city amenities with suburban comfort, featuring convenient access to cultural landmarks, major sports venues like the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues, and popular attractions such as the Gateway Arch and Six Flags St. Louis. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Manage complex neuro ICU patients using advanced equipment such as ventilators, telemetry, arterial and central lines, and CRRT.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain professional standards aligned with nursing practice and facility policies.
  • May be required to float to other units as staffing needs dictate.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri.
  • Minimum 1 year of ICU experience, preferably in neuro, trauma, or surgical care.
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA only), NIHSS; TNCC preferred.
  • Ability to work nights (1900-0730) and every other weekend as needed.
  • Adherence to dress code and facility protocols including vaccination requirements.

Contract Details:

  • Contract length: 13 weeks.
  • Shift: Night shift.
  • Weekly hours: 36 or 48 (flexible schedule to be indicated on submission).
