This contract opportunity is for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing in Boston, MA. The position requires a dedicated professional with at least two years of ICU experience, capable of providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment during night shifts.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience.
- Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to meet clinical responsibilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring with the ability to independently read and interpret rhythm strips.
- Valid Massachusetts nursing license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts.
- 36 hours per week.
- Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Document patient care and clinical observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient conditions.
