Provide critical nursing care in a dynamic ICU environment that serves a unique and diverse patient population. This role focuses on delivering skilled care to critically ill patients in a 5-bed Intensive Care Unit while occasionally supporting Emergency, Medical/Surgical, or Pediatric units when needed. The position demands a high level of professional nursing expertise, independent judgment, and adherence to established clinical protocols to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Situated in Northwestern Arizona on the Colorado Plateau, this community is known for its rich cultural heritage, serving Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute tribes along with a diverse population of Anglo, Hispanic, and African American residents. The semi-desert landscape offers scenic elevation ranging from 4,400 to nearly 7,000 feet, providing a unique living and working environment. The local health center supports a wide range of medical specialties, including surgery, pediatrics, psychiatry, dental, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Support post-operative recovery for general surgery, pediatric, and obstetric patients as necessary.
- Float to Emergency, Med/Surg, or Pediatric units during low census periods.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years ICU nursing experience.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Current, unrestricted RN license valid in the U.S. or its territories.
- Certification requirements to maintain throughout employment:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (to be completed within 6 months if not current)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) (to be completed within 6 months if not current)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) (to be completed within 6 months if not current)
