Intensive Care RN | Cumming, Georgia

A nursing professional with specialized skills in critical care is sought for a contract role located in Cumming, GA. This position involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within an intensive care unit environment, focusing on pediatric patients with critical and complex needs. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Associate’s degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Valid RN license in good standing (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 180 days of hire
• Less than one year of direct patient care experience acceptable upon graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Competency in technology use to support clinical care and basic computer skills
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong critical thinking and time management skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Manage ventilator support, cardiac rhythm monitoring, vasoactive and sedation infusions
• Assist with bedside procedures such as intubation, line placements, and sterile dressing changes
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration and documentation
• Support pediatric code responses using established resuscitation protocols
• Engage in continuous professional development, precepting, and evidence-based practice initiatives

Schedule:

• Night shift from approximately 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.
