ICU RN - Hazard, KY

An opportunity is available for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to work a 13-week contract assignment in Hazard, Kentucky. This position focuses on night shifts in a high-acuity ICU environment, providing care to critically ill patients with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care to ICU patients, adhering to established protocols and standards
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions accurately
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient status
• Utilize Meditech EMR for patient data management and documentation

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years ICU or MICU nursing experience
• Active Kentucky RN license or a compact nursing license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• NIH certification required
• Proficient with Meditech Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Comfortable managing a 1:2 patient ratio in a critical care setting

Schedule:

• Night shifts
• 36/48-hour work schedule, providing a predictable and structured routine
