Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care through the full nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) tailored to critically ill pediatric patients
- Manage high acuity patients requiring ventilator and advanced cardiac monitoring (EKG analysis, vasoactive drips)
- Perform and assist with bedside procedures including intubations, arterial line placement, and chest tube insertions
- Lead pediatric codes following Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) algorithms
- Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, patient-centered care
- Participate in quality improvement activities, uphold regulatory standards, and promote evidence-based nursing practice
- Mentor and precept new nursing staff to foster professional development and ensure clinical excellence
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred
- Active RN license valid in Georgia (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
- Current BLS and PALS certifications or eligible to obtain within 180 days
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to function well in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
Shift:
Night shift (approximately 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM)
