An opportunity is available for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide critical care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This contract role is based in Newton, KS, with a specialized unit offering advanced patient care utilizing cutting-edge medical technology.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients, including trauma cases, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical patients
- Monitor and manage patients requiring intensive interventions such as chest tubes, central lines, medication drips, balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia therapy, and ECMO
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation in the Meditech EMR system
- Adhere to unit policies and guidelines to promote a safe and efficient care environment
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active RN licensure with experience in ICU nursing
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC or ATCN
- Preferred experience with NIH protocols and critical care equipment
- Strong organizational skills, efficiency, and an engaged, positive attitude essential for success
- Ability to work 1:2 patient ratios, with readiness to provide 1:1 care for high-acuity cases
Schedule:
- Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
