A healthcare facility in Ontario, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse with ICU experience for a contract position. This role requires delivering safe, high-quality patient care by utilizing thorough assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the ICU setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in critical care units, ensuring adherence to nursing standards
- Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient condition changes, diagnostic results, and treatments
- Oversee patient and family education alongside guiding other nursing staff activities
- Respond promptly and accurately to alterations in patient condition or treatment response
- Maintain strict patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid state RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience in critical care
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination and boosters preferred
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred
- Availability to work weekends is mandatory
