Critical Care Registered Nurse | Pineville, Louisiana

Provide specialized critical care nursing in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) environment caring for medical patients, including those with COVID-19. This contract nursing opportunity offers experience with advanced ventilator management, cardiac, neuro, and respiratory care, and collaboration with a skilled, nationally certified team. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive critical care to ICU patients, including ventilator and advanced cardiac support
• Perform complex procedures such as intubations, cardioversions, and ventriculostomy drain management
• Adhere to PPE protocols for COVID-19 patient care, including donning and doffing protective equipment
• Use Meditech EBCD documentation system to maintain accurate patient records
• Participate in hourly rounding, bedside hand-offs, and compassionate patient communication using AIDET
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and float to other medical-surgical units as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current RN licensure with ICU clinical experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications mandatory; TNCC certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of ventilator management, critical care drips, and assessment skills related to cardiac, neurological, and respiratory systems
• Ability to care for COVID-19 patients alongside proper PPE compliance
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and flexibility in a diverse care environment

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotations required
